Nail Colors for Fall

WRITTEN BY: RAEGAN CLEARY

When the weather cools down, one way I like to pick myself up is with a fresh new manicure. Although you can rock whatever color whenever, Fall is usually the time nail polish companies release dark colors to match our even darker souls. Here are a few of my favorites for this season!

The Classics:

Reds, navy and dark purples have always been my go-to colors for fall.  “Lincoln Park After Dark” and “Russian Navy” by OPI have been around forever and with good reason! Dark purple and navy blue are subtle, yet eye-catching shades that match everything, which makes them perfect for any occasion. If red is more your thing, check out “Adam said ‘It’s New Year’s, Eve’” from their 2017 Holiday collection. Apple red is perfect for any holiday gatherings you may have coming up.

The Bold:

Take your typical jewel-toned colors up a notch with a metallic finish. Brands in every price range from Sally Hansen to Essie and even Dior have metallic nail polish when you’re looking for a little extra sparkle. Have a polish you love but want to spice thing up a bit? Check out Revlon’s Transforming Effects Top Coats that come in a variety of colors and finishes.

The Chic:

If you’re looking for something as fashionable as your outfit, try a cool-toned gray such as Essie’s “Merino Cool”. Who says pink isn’t a fall color? Swap your bubblegum hues for something on the mauve side like OPI’s “Dulce De Leche”. This color is perfect if you want a more natural look and it looks perfect peeking out of a gray sweater.
