In the last half century or so, jeans have become the standard for a casual outfit. It’s clear that denim has come a long way in since them but sometimes they just need a little extra something to complete an outfit. All it takes is something you probably already have lying in your sock drawer: fishnet tights! 
Fishnets are a great layering piece because their texture pops against the holes in your denim and they are lightweight enough where they don’t add extra bulk underneath. You can totally change up the look too depending on what jean/fishnet combo you use. For a flirtier look pair lacy, printed fishnets under a basic pair of ripped skinny jeans and wear that with an oversized sweater that hits right above the rips. However, if grunge is more your style take some traditional fishnets and put them under a pair of boyfriend jeans. Pair that with a vintage band tee and some combat boots and you’re good to go.
